Michael joined the Epiphany team in August 2019, first as organist, then as music director. He spent several years at St. Mary’s Kerrisdale parish in Vancouver as organ scholar/associate organist. His current duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, working with Rev. Stephen Rowe in the planning of music during service and accompanying/conducting the volunteer choir. Since the COVID-19 pandemic shut the doors to in-person worship services, Michael has continued to provide music for use during livestreamed services.
A budding composer, Michael has composed and performed works for piano and organ. In addition to his ministry, Michael is an avid Trekkie and is a scriptwriter, researcher and composer for the “Starship Excelsior” audio drama. Other hobbies that Michael actively partakes in are video games of various genres, and baking, especially during Christmastime.
